*Camp Espana, have 20 years experience offering programmes and activities to
Jewish youth aged 10-20 years from all over the world from a variety of Jewish cultural and religious backgrounds. So it is with great pleasure that we announce our association with Grosvenor Hall near London, England.*

This newly refurbished ‘Best in Class’ Activity & Language Centre offers us the opportunity of giving Jewish students a strictly kosher kitchen, separate kosher restaurant and separate accommodation in this English campus

Our Jewish students will form part of the general camp of 250 students, all of whom will be enjoying this remarkable campus during the month of August.

Venue
Grosvenor Hall is a completely new centre which has been refurbished to the highest standards. The venue consists of almost 200,000 sq ft of educational, adventure and recreational facilities within a fully enclosed and secure 50 acre site with security gates, perimeter fence and CCTV cameras. Located in Ashford, Kent, it is within easy access of London’s various airports and Eurostar Stations.

Accommodation
Grosvenor Hall boasts modern and bright student accommodation with new bathrooms. Sheets, duvets and pillows are all provided for each student.
Our Jewish students will be housed in their own sleeping area with Camp Espana counsellors overseeing their welfare. Boys and girls are housed separately.

Facilities & Activities
The Campus has a 25,000 sq ft sports hall, an aquatics centre and a $2million high-adrenaline activity park. The activity park includes some of the most exciting activities available in the UK:

On the campus, there are also state of the art Language laboratories for students who are taking part in the optional morning English language sessions. Other languages may be available on request.
There is also a completely new media centre with its own radio station and high tec ICT block, Blu-ray cinema, indoor and outdoor laser arena and dance studio.

Language school - Learning English With The English
We are proud of the state of the art Language laboratories where students are offered the optional morning 3 hour English language sessions taught by teachers trained to CELTA qualification using modern teaching techniques. Students are tested on arrival and placed in classes of their corresponding level of language ability. Our lessons combine structured sessions with interactive elements covering every day topics such as the environment, the news, or leisure to ensure the student gains a positive learning experience. Certificates are awarded at the end of the session.

Excursions
Each week there will be an exciting organised excursion. One will be a tour of London to include the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the exciting shopping locations of London’s famous Oxford Street and Covent Garden with its world famous shops and stores. Another to Canterbury with a trip by boat on the River Thames or to Thorpe Park, a famous English theme park.

Night Life:
The fun doesn’t stop and after a day brimming with activities there will be Beach parties, Camp craft, Discos, Cinema, Network gaming, Special theme nights, Mini Olympics, Pool parties, Wii magic, Sportsarama and much much more.

Shabbat & Kashrut
On the premises is a dedicated kosher kitchen and restaurant for our Jewish students. All kosher products are under the supervision of the London Beth Din. On Shabbat we shall have our Kabbalah Shabbat service followed by a special Shabbat dinner. On Shabbat morning there is a full service for those who wish to attend, followed by Kiddush and Shabbat lunch with Havdalah at nightfall. There are also optional morning minyamin for those wishing to attend.

Our Jewish students will also be housed in their own sleeping area with Camp Espana counsellors overseeing their welfare.

Resident Directors
Brian and Patricia, our resident multi-lingual Camp Directors, will oversee our 2010 summer programme together with the resident team of talented and dedicated staff who are on call 24 hours a day.

Health & Safety
Certified First Aid monitors and a 24 hour on call doctor ensure the well being of our students. First class hospitals are located close by in case of emergencies

Travel:
We collect all students from London Heathrow & Gatwick Airports and the Eurostar Station at Ashford. Collection from other London airports can be arranged at an additional cost Typical Day

  • 7.30-8.30: Wake up, shower and breakfast
  • 9.00-12.30: English lessons / Morning Activity Session
  • 12.30: Lunch Break
  • 14.00: Afternoon Activities
  • 17.30-19.00: Free-time and dinner
  • 19.15: Commencement of Evening Activities
  • 22.00: 10 – 13 year olds Bedtime
  • 22.30: 13 – 15 year olds Bedtime
  • 23.00: 15 – 17 year olds Bedtime

Prices for the camp sessions includes Full Kosher Board & Accommodation, All Activities and a Weekly Excursion:
